Hello, my name is Forest T. Heis, and I am running for the Forest Hills Board of Education.
I am a proud product of the Forest Hills School District. I graduated from Wilson Elementary 29 years ago, then on to Turpin Middle School and Forest Hills Junior School before graduating as co-valedictorian from Turpin High School in 1987. Now, my oldest daughter is in third grade at Wilson and I have three more on their way (two at Anderson Hills and one still with a sippy cup).
Forest Hills provided me with an excellent education and a strong foundation for my future academic endeavors at Stanford, UC Medical School and Duke. Now, I want to give back. I plan to represent our children first in all decision-making, providing for the best education in the face of trying economic times. I believe strongly in public education and have a vested interest in making the best decisions for our children and for our community.
I’m in this for the long haul.
